Oh man, college internet totally spoiled me. Home’s dialup AOL internet was never the same. At least Penny’s laptop works on it. Mine didn’t.

Pffffffffffffffffffffff My home internet then the college internet! World’s better! But then, my internet is awesome.
Let me guess … the pajamas were a gift from Julian, right?
At least I’m not the only one who dreads going home over the holidays to dial-up.
So this year, I didn’t! Best christmas ever.
Beat me, whip me, make me download at 6400 baud.
I had to raise an eyebrow when I came home over Christmas break to find that my parent’s internet connection is slower than the one I set up myself and am paying for at my apartment, but thanks to this comic, I now realize it could have been a lot worse.
My mom just got high speed last year…..and I graduated from college in 94. Oh, and no one lived close enough to mooch their wireless, either. That was the worst part about going to visit.
I’m lucky enough to have a dad who needs to do a lot of emailing from home, so he had to get a cable connection. He also was kind enough to set up a wireless router. By that I mean my brother and I set up his wireless router. 🙂
this year my internet does not break every ten minutes or less like it used to!! Happiness!
My familly had a wifi failure while I was visiting, I feel your pain!
I find it funny that even with pajamas on and relaxing in ben, the hat stays on. Like Link in the water temple.
It’s not a hat – it’s her hair, with the ponytail undone.
@ Baughbe: Wow! You’re *THAT* much of a masochist?!
Dialup still exists?
Wait, she has a multicolored ponytail? All this time I thought that has a hat. Time to reread the archive and see where I went wrong.
Back when I started college, the supposedly amazing T1 connection that the school had was actually SLOWER than my mom’s AOL connection. At one point I actually hooked my computer up to the internet via the modem and used my old AOL account to check my email in the dorms. O_o
Now, though, the entire residential section of campus has broadband internet – Roadrunner in every room!
