That whole “Oh-I’m-utterly-blind-without-my-glasses!” stereotype is so stupid. When I take mine off, of course everything’s blurry as hell (I’m very nearsighted and can only see clearly out to about 6 in. in front of my face); but the world does *not* go completely dark and I can still, to a limited extent at least, make out individual objects at up to about 30 feet — although I have practically no depth perception beyond that. Unless she’s profoundly blind, Myra should at least be able to see light, color and movement even if she can’t make out distinct shapes unless they’re at the tip of her nose.
